Ja Rule Launches a Premium Alexander Valley Wine Label

American rapper Ja Rule is entering the world of premium wines with the debut of his very own Rose Vine Cellars brand. The new wine arrives as the result of a partnership between Ja Rule, Wines That Rock, and Ross Reedy, director of winemaking at Truett Hurst winery and VML Wines.

The brand's first wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon with "rich notes of blackcurrant, cherry and dark chocolate, all balanced with velvety tannins." It features 60-year-old vines from Alexander Valley, a wine appellation located in Sonoma County, California. Cabernet Sauvignon has also been aged for 24 months in French Oak wine barrels, which influence the flavor and color of the brew.
