The Chunky Cat Tree is a pet furniture piece designed by Swedish designer Gustaf Westman. The Chunky Cat Tree extends Westman’s Chunky collection into the pet category, applying the same rounded forms and bold proportions found in his furniture and home accessories. The design takes inspiration from the Blob Sofa and uses stacked geometric volumes to create a sculptural climbing structure for cats. Westman developed the piece as an alternative to conventional cat trees, with equal attention given to functionality and appearance.
The cat tree features a tripod base with three elevated platforms positioned at different heights. The structure provides multiple perches for resting and climbing, allowing more than one cat to use it at the same time. Each piece is made to order in Sweden and upholstered in wool fabric. Available color options include red, yellow, purple, blue, and cobalt blue.
