Copenhagen-based creative Cecilie Bahnsen presents another collaborative footwear design with ASICS with the previous GEL-NIMBUS 9 and now the GT-2160. During the designer's Spring/Summer 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week yesterday, another pair of ASICS shoes was presented and it takes on a muted design language.
It appears to be a black colorway of the GEL-QUANTUM sneaker with what can be assumed as floral appliqués. In the previous two silhouettes, the GEL-NIMBUS 9 sneaker and the two tonal versions of the GT-2160 were created with the appliqués accents for a textural and dynamic look. To create the florals, the creative used leftover fabric and beads that were collected from her studio for an eco-friendly approach.
