Calm x Ozlo Released 'Sleepbuds' with Calm Sleep Subscription

Calm launched Calm Sleep as a standalone app dedicated to improving users’ bedtime routines. The app combines meditation and mindfulness exercises with sleep stories narrated by figures such as Harry Styles, Laura Dern, LeBron James, and Matthew McConaughey, which have been streamed over one billion times. Upon first use, users complete a brief questionnaire that generates a personalized sleep plan, recommending content and sleep-enhancing tasks such as regular exercise, stress reduction techniques, and adjustments to the sleep environment. Progress is tracked via a "Sleep Readiness" bar, which fills as users complete their nightly tasks, aiming to translate wearable-based sleep insights into actionable steps for better rest.

The Calm x Ozlo Sleepbuds are the first hardware collaboration from Calm, developed in partnership with Ozlo to create earbuds optimized for sleep. These Sleepbuds play Calm’s Sleep Stories and, once the user falls asleep, automatically switch to custom soundscapes. Buyers receive one year of Calm Sleep free, while existing Calm Sleep subscribers can apply a 10 percent discount. The earbuds feature four sizes of soft, durable silicone tips for a secure in-ear fit, passive noise-blocking technology, a super-efficient custom audio amplifier, volume-dependent spectral balancing, and built-in biometric sensors that detect sleep onset to pause streaming content and engage noise-masking audio stored in onboard memory. Additional features include a private in-ear alarm and, when housed in the smart charging case, environmental monitoring of noise, light, and temperature to generate daily sleep reports via the Ozlo Sleep app.
