New Glamping Site for Baby Boomers Planned in Monmouthshire

A glamping site in the Monmouthshire countryside in Wales is targeting "baby boomers and Instagram influencers" with its plans for up to six safari-style tents. The development at Rhewel Farm, about a mile from Chepstow, is intended to capitalize on the growth of glamping, which is driven by the cost-of-living crisis, a growing interest in sustainable tourism and anxiety over foreign holidays, according to a planning application.

The site will feature three "luxury safari tents" and three "woody safari tents", each capable of accommodating six people. The tents will be made from natural materials in earthy brown tones to blend into the surrounding landscape and will have self-contained kitchens and bathrooms. Mobile toilets and showers, car parking, and secure cycle storage, will also be provided.
