Vogue featured designer-made tennis balls disguised in jewels, studs, spikes and flowers. Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenberg, Monique Lhuillier and Rag & Bone are just a few of the designers that bedazzled custom green balls in commemoration of a U.S. Open.
The dog apparel industry is also inspired by the sport, designing preppy tennis attire for stylish pets. The underwear industry also took a pointer from the tennis world—Venus Williams sported flesh-colored undies at the Australian Open, which caught her more glances than usual.
