Pantone, the color industry standard-bearer, has declared yellow as the hot new color for 2009 fashion and specifically, Mimosa--as in the color of the flower or the drink made with orange juice and sparkling wine.
Yellow is associated with happiness, wisdom and imagination. ‘Yellow’ lovers tend to possess a strong intellect and are clear, precise thinkers. Pantone Yellow people will have lofty ideas. Pantone’s Hot Color for 2008 was Blue Iris, which tends to be toward the purple hue.
"I think it’s just the most wonderful symbolic color of the future. It’s invariably connected to warmth, sunshine and cheer--all the good things we’re in dire need of right now," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute.
