18 Innovative Comic Books

There are lots of reasons to get excited about Comic Con this year, including some news about some innovative comics books that will be released by Marvel, featuring a black Captain America and a female version of Thor.

This past year there have also been notable twists to traditional comic books, including Stan Lee releasing a line of comic books specifically for a younger than usual audience and Lion Forge Comics making notable women from reality like Claire Sinclair and Yaya Han the star superheroines in its stories. With changes like these, the image of a superhero is becoming more reflective of more diverse types of world-saving people with awesome powers, not just a buff guy in a super suit.
