Justin Timberlake's Name is William Rast

Justin Timberlake stars as a "complex modern day hero" in a new edgy ad campaign entitled 'My Name is William Rast' for his premium denim and lifestyle clothing line William Rast.

Timberlake co-directed, co-wrote and composed the score for a series of mini movies that supplements the Fall/Winter 2008-9 print ads. The movies are also directed by Jonas Akerlund.

Model Erin Wasson stars as Birdie, Rast's partner in crime.

Reportedly, Timberlake did not want to be featured in the ad campaign at the beginning. However, creative director Johan Lindeberg convinced him with the idea of playing a role, a rebel character that is not Justin Timberlake himself.
