People across the map that sense it's time to get lost head to the countryside where corn fields have been mowed into labyrinths of endless patterns. Whole families, drunken teenagers, old folks... it seems everybody's doing the maze craze.
One inventive farmer in Vidalia on the Louisiana and Mississippi border invented the corn cannon to make things more interesting. The device can launch an ear of corn 100 yards. Maybe it's the excitement triggered by the fear of getting lost along with the flashback to the movie “The Shining†that does it. Whatever it is, if you haven't done it, clearly you need an excuse for a long drive in the country.
