The White Reef Dress is Inspired by Underwater Environmental Degredation

Created by designer Casey Watson, the White Reef dress is the winner of the Heels & Heart wearable art fashion show competition where all proceeds are donated to charity.

This dress features an under the sea theme with white scales covering the entire body including bold shoulders and long flowing sleeves. Made out of paper, this dress focuses on the environmental impact of climate change on life under the water. Due to rising temperatures and an increase in acid levels in the water, the vibrantly hued coral reefs are experiencing a bleaching effect, draining them of their natural beauty and rich coloring.

With its completely stark white color, the White Reef dress by Casey Watson draws attention to this tragic phenomenon, asking us to take responsibility. Stats for Paper Paillette Gowns Trending: Older & Popular
