‘Suitejump’ is a super fun competition organized by mySuite Blog with Suitehotel. The rules of the competition are simple: take a camera and jump on a bed! The best ‘Suitejump’ picture will be chosen by a jury of experts with a reward of an entire week in the brand new Marrakech Suitehotel. The second and the third winners will get a Grand Weekend Package in a Suitehotel of their choice. In addition to being able to send your own picture, you can participate in the Suitejump tour where a professional photographer will take your picture for free while you’re jumping on the hotel bed and flying in the air for a brief second. The photographer will be present from 4pm to 9 pm in the lounge of the designated Suitehotel to take your pictures. The tour started on July 22 and goes on till August 13th. I don't get it. How is this good for the hotel's brand? 1. It wrecks the beds, 2. Somebody will break their neck. 3. Sends a message that Suitehotels are just for springbreakers! 4. Next up: Hallway surfing, face stuffing at the breakfast bar, and chugging little bottles of mouthwash contest? |

Ah, Sixty, I thought you were keeping in touch with the pulse of the young generation. This is by no means a traditional marketing effort. It targets the young and often silly but fun crowd. Plus, most people actually send their photo from their own bed, since its not convenient to all to be at certain hotels at certain times. I think its a great competition, it gives the vibe that the hotel encourages people to have fun. |
