AdHoc Studio has updated Dispatch Deluxe Edition with Storyboard Mode, which lets players move through the full game using its original animatics instead of the finished scenes. The anniversary add-on also folds in Commentary Mode, turning the superhero workplace story into a playable making-of.
Commentary Mode includes separate cast and crew tracks totaling more than 16 hours, and players can run them over the rough-cut visuals in Storyboard Mode. The update is live now on Steam and console versions for Deluxe Edition players, while Standard Edition owners can unlock it with a $10.99 upgrade.
At $10.99, the Deluxe upgrade turns behind-the-scenes material into a concrete replay hook instead of a passive bonus. Using animatics as a full play mode also widens how narrative games can package process itself as part of the product.
