ORIGAMI FURNISHINGS

Inspired by origami paper folding, Japanese designer Shige Hasegawa created the Hana Table and Hana Lamp.

The table is made of 5 identical plywood legs that hold a circular glass top. the lamp is made of fabric stretched over an iron frame. The fabric cover is washable and includes a zipper for easy removal from the frame.

‘Hana’ means ‘flower’ in Japanese. The pieces were made for exhibition during the 2009 Milan Furniture Fair.
