Crowded Classmate Captures

The School by Raimond Wouda Series Captures Dutch Youth

The photo series and book titled School by Raimond Wouda depicts students in secondary schools across the Netherlands. A project spanning over five years, Raimond Wouda wanted to capture these young pubescent individuals in the habitat they reside in for most of their youth. Yet instead of concentrating on all aspects of the school environment, the photo series School by Raimond Wouda focuses on the moments between classes in which these kids relax and are truly themselves.

Mainly taken from a bird's-eye view, these images throw contemporary Dutch youth in a completely new light. From the interaction between individuals to the latest fashion fad, the photo series School by Raimond Wouda puts us back into the mindset of what it is to be young and in school again.
