These Lamps by Samuel Bernier are Made from Fire Extinguishers

Inventor and design student Samuel Bernier is known for turning unconventional things into creative new products. The Achille Le Grand is no different: it's a nifty fire extinguisher lamp that’s been up-cycled into chic and functional lamps.

A bizarre combination to say the least, this fire extinguisher lamp is industrially chic. First the extinguishers were carefully emptied, opened up, cleaned out and then cut into three parts. Then, Samuel Bernier essentially painted and shaped the fire extinguisher to his liking, added an electric cable for the light source and weighted the base for the lamp to stand steadily on.

Samuel Bernier’s design for the Achille Le Grand is simply stunning with a black body and an extremely long extendable neck. Because the fire extinguisher itself is also painted black, you can’t even tell that the lamp’s base is a fire extinguisher, unless you know where to look.
