Secret to Retro Beehive - Amy Winehouse Wigs on eBay (GALLERY)

As I mentioned earlier this month, the beehive hairstyle is going to be making a major fashion comeback thanks to endorsement by top fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, whose latest muse is songstress Amy Winehouse.

Myself and fellow fashionistas were stumped as to how to achieve the hairstyle made popular in the 1950s. The secret, it seems, doesn’t lie in aerosol cans or gigantic rollers, it lies in sporting a wig. Aha! There have been a number of Winehouse-inspired beehive wigs on eBay, with more and more being added daily as trend-following women become ravenous to adorn their own heads with the chic fluff.

Audrey Hepburn made it look ultra glamorous in breakfast at Tiffany’s, blonde bombshell Brigitte Bardot made it look oh-so-beautiful, Marge Simpson’s blue ‘do was an atrocious mockery of it, Amy Winehouse added a punk feel to it, and Lagerfeld took it right back to classy in his latest collections.

For a less dramatic feel, a big up-do can done to achieve the look, like Scarlet Johanson has done in the photo in the gallery.
