Whether you’re trying to save gas, money, or the planet, DriveMint.com has all the answers for you. Though the concept is not new (Zipcar has been around for a while in Europe and Canada), the New York City version of on-demand rental cars is. 

The idea is that in times of increasing insurance, parking, and all the inherent costs that come with owning a personal car, the option to rent a car for just the times you really need one has great potential. Add to that the complete affordability of just $2 an hour, how would anyone want to own their own car anymore? 

DriveMint.com hopes to expand to more cities in the future.
