Wheels, a micro-mobility company and the creator of the "sit-down scooter," has announced the launch of an all-new rental option in Miami, which will see the company offering its long-term plans to commuters throughout the city.
Of course, the plan will center around the company's signature sit-down scooter model, which was developed in partnership with Helbiz, a leading New York-based micro-mobility service that was founded in 2015. According to a recent press release, the long-term rental option will be offered on a monthly subscription model.
“The long-term rental option is the perfect solution for the dilemma faced by car-conscious city dwellers,” said Wheels CEO Marco McCottry. “Wheels’ sit-down scooters are easy to operate and allow for the flexibility of car ownership in a way that is more sustainable and less expensive. This offering has been available in New York City for some time, and we see the same opportunity and need in Miami or any similarly dense, urban market.”
