Breakfast cereal artist Ernie Button is taking art to new heights with his cerealist art. The Phoenix, Arizona-based artist has been making his unique and quirky art from breakfast cereal for over 10 years.
In this video from ‘HooplaHa’ (a website on a mission to make people smile everyday) Ernie talks about his latest project -- building a winter wonderland landscape of an igloo. He talks us through the process of his work from deciding which breakfast cereal will best suit the theme (Rice Krispie squares and individual Rice Krispies), building the piece, to the final stage—taking close-up photographs and setting the lighting.
In the fun video, the artist says he thinks the public enjoy his work because it "makes people smile" and is "absurd, fun and engaging." I think you’ll agree these Rice Krispie creations are a real sweet treat.
