The Parliament Building for the Principality of Liechtenstein is a project by Licht Kunst Licht Architects. Described as the ‘Long House,’ the expansive Liechtenstein project has resulted in a sweeping, beautiful modern estate for its MPs and legislative assembly.
The Parliament Building for the Principality of Liechtenstein features incredible brick staircases, offset by impressive glass walls to create a “timeless” appearance and design. The idea behind the impressive structure was the idea of ‘Archaic modernism’—the notion that one can merge the past and present to create something beautiful. The Parliament building has been a result of this and now stands as a fantastic example for this type of design idea. The modern building has a mix of soft brick structure and more crisp glass exterior.
