Kristen Stewart Wears Sneakers at MTV Movie Awards

Kristen Stewart might have started a new fashion trend without meaning to. See, the young ‘New Moon’ starlet paired a dressy red and black mini dress with Converse sneakers on the red carpet at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

However, there is a reason for this dressing down. Kristen Stewart was going to wear high heels, but she twisted her ankle and had to go with the comfy sneakers.

I say if guys can wear sneakers with expensive suits, then women should have the option too.

At the event, Kristen Stewart and Twilight costar Robert Pattinson won a Golden Popcorn statue for “Best Kiss”. Stewart also won “Best Female Performance” for her role in Twilight.

The funny thing is that the typically awkward Kristen dropped the award during her speech, but she can’t blame it on the heels!
