Motozone Packaging Enhances the Rigid Look of the Implements it Holds

A great way to emphasize a certain feature of an object is to juxtapose it with another item lacking the said specific characteristic. Motozone packaging carries this technique out in a very simplified way, through the pairing of metal wrenches with cardboard bases cut with winding edges.

The soft and sinuous curves of the backings reinforce the look of solidity and strength in the tools, and the seemingly off-centered printing approach contrasts the precision manufacturing of the automotive repair equipment.

Of course, Thorbjorn Gudnason's various Motozone logos all incorporate this loose ribbon-like border -- perhaps as a reference to the flapping flags outside of mechanic shops and car dealerships. But what's for sure is that Motozone packaging and branding, with their unique borders and bright yellow ink, are sure to set these products apart from their neighbors on the hardware store shelf.
