Most people would approach a project like this Mobile Mozzerella Bar from the standpoint of simply decorating a standard vending truck. Intriguingly, designer Vikki Chan decided that the very form of the vehicle needed an overhaul for the purpose of creating a new rapport with customers and establishing a fresh aesthetic appeal.
Inspired by the stretchy properties of warm pizza cheese, the creative pulled apart the side of a meals-on-wheels van into vertical strips. From here, the segments were either connected to the hinged roof, the expandable side or fixed securely in place. In alternating the openings behind these peculiar auto body partitions, the Mobile Mozzerella Bar designates specific areas for ordering takeout meals or for sitting at a convertible counter to eat.
