I always find it interesting to see where inspiration comes from, but when it is drawn from something I’ve used throughout my entire childhood, like this Mirage Portable Chess Set, I think to myself, “Self, why didn’t I think of that?”

Intrigued by the metallic hair clip, designer Pengtao Yu was able to adapt it to the game of chess. Funny enough, a girl can still use the Mirage Portable Chess Set pieces as hair clips. Isn’t that just hairlarious? (Hardy har har…)
