Pope Benedict was at Lourdes, France this weekend, a location famous for miracles. His hope was to remind people to believe in those happenings. The Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous at the Lourdes grotto over a dozen times in 1858, a place still believed to have magical healing powers. “In the past 150 years, the Church has recognized as ‘miracles’ 67 medically inexplicable healings of sick pilgrims who visited Lourdes,” Yahoo News says.
