Katie Holmes Ignites Bandwagon of Baggy Boy Jeans

Katie Holmes recently set the tongues of fashionistas and bloggers wagging when she began wearing the baggy boyfriend jeans. Even though most of the buzz was negative, going as far as calling her choice of jeans ‘hideous’, Katie Holmes proved to be a true trend setter where it really matters: sales.

Katie Holmes is to thank for luxury jeans brand Prps jeans quickly selling out its first-ever women’s lifestyle line. The Prps Boyfriend Jeans in particular received huge demand even before it was officially launched. 

Prps Jeans founder and Creative Director Donwan admits that Katie Holmes “had an influence in increased sales.” Adding, “It’s a refreshing alternative to the skinny jean.”

In addition to the relaxed-cut Boyfriend jeans, the new Prps women line includes two other models, the skinny cut, and the boot cut.
