Who wouldn’t want to know what’s inside a woman’s heart? Now you can find out, as the internationally accomplished artist Tara McPherson has created a fine selection of paintings depicting women with open hearts, literally. You can see through them! With titles such as ‘The Guilt Will Eat You Alive… If You Let It’ and ‘My Love Flows Out Like a Waterfall and Goes Nowhere,’ McPherson’s paintings often surprise in a puzzling way. You will be strangely drawn to the images of her women and their beautiful eyes. They seem playful, yet reveal a macabre or slightly sad truth underneath. These brilliant paintings will be exhibited at the Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome as part of a group show investigating the motif of nostalgia. The exhibit will run until December 30th.
