The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado will be the world’s first two mode hybrid pick up truck. Bob Lutz broke the news at dinner tonight in Los Angeles. I’ll be able to deliver more details after I pick up a press kit tomorrow, but GM is very excited about their latest endeavor! This is huge news. As Lutz said tonight, “This is the future.”

| Being the only full-size hybrid pickup on the market, Lutz has every right to brag about this truck. I wonder when will Toyota answer back. As a GMC pickup owner, I just wish that GM will continue this effort as who knows we might also see a GMC Jimmy hybrid in the future. |
