Celebrity Gay Marriage - Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Plan Dream Wedding (VIDEO)

Ellen DeGeneres (50) and Portia de Rossi (35) are planning a California-style luxurious dream wedding. They are both secretive about the details, but did say that the ceremony will be covered on Ellen’s talk show. The couple made an appearance at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Hollywood, where.Portia showed off an impressive Neil Lane designed pink diamond engagement ring. Industry sources say that the upcoming nuptials will rival Elton John’s in extravagance.

“Planning a wedding is very stressful,” says DeGeneres. “It is crazy. My gardener is now invited.”

The May 16, 2008 landmark ruling by the California Supreme Court makes California the second state (Massachusetts being first) to allow gay marriages. It is the first State to allow marriages for same-sex couples from any U.S. state.
