United Airlines is introducing flight-specific Wi-Fi trackers through a new digital platform that lets passengers check Starlink connectivity before traveling. The Starlink Tracker allows users to enter their flight details within three days of departure to determine whether their aircraft offers satellite internet. Unlike general airline connectivity updates, the tool provides flight-level information that adjusts when aircraft assignments change, helping travelers prepare for their journey.
The platform also displays installation progress across different aircraft types and major United hubs. Starlink currently operates on more than 635 United aircraft, covering nearly half of the airline's daily departures, with fleetwide installation expected by late 2027.
For United, making connectivity information accessible could influence booking preferences and strengthen customer loyalty. The airline is also extending its Wi-Fi-focused status match campaign, creating additional opportunities to attract travelers from competing carriers.
