Artist Eric Franklin Creates Creepy Glowing Sculptures

Eric Franklin, an artist based in Portland, Oregon, revisits the human skeletal frame with his illuminating skull series. Like Eric Franklin's Embodiment art installation, these skulls have been crafted out of a network of flame-worked borosilicate glass tubes as well as wood and electronics. The hollow tubes have also been filled with a mixture of ionized neon, krypton and mercury to create a visually striking glow will electrify audiences.

Comprised of three sculptures, Eric Franklin's skull series is undeniably creepy. This is due in large part to the sealing process, which resulted in a few misshaped areas. All three skulls are currently available for acquisition through Chris Forney over at Artworks Gallery in Los Angeles. Stats for Illuminated Glass Skulls Trending: Older & Popular
