Jon Jackson 'Adios LA' Visual Art Goodbye is Like a Breakup
Pearl — January 8, 2011 — Art & Design
Artist Jon Jackson lived in Los Angeles for years, but when he received an offer to move to New York for a new position, he said a fond goodbye to his first love in a series of five emotional billboards entitled 'Adios LA.' Several more of these billboards were created but did not make the cut.
The emotional billboards are all a humorous take on the typical breakup lines. They can be seen on five streets -- Olympic Boulevard, Beverly Boulevard, Venice Boulevard, Lincoln Boulevard and Highland Avenue -- until January 15. The artist offers the designs as downloadable iPhone background images.
