You see some dresses on the runways of designers or in the glossy pages of high end fashion magazines, and you just know they will soon appear hanging off some star on a Red Carpet in the not-so-distant future. At this year’s Emmy Awards, there were a few couture looks that made the transition from catwalk to red carpet painlessly.

It’s astonishing that the dresses look as great on the red carpet as the designers had intended them to when they were displayed at their Fashion Week debuts.
