Modern alchemist (Yes, I said Alchemist, see his site) Douglas Little & confectioner Valerie Gordon, drawn together by a mutual admiration for the quality and beauty of each other’s creations, have cooperated on the ‘mori ex cacao’ (death by chocolate) collection.

Based on D.L. & co’s ‘memento mori’ (remember that you are mortal) collection, the exquisite skulls are rendered in bittersweet chocolate, filled with one of three delicious centers and then individually painted with colored cocoa butter to achieve the pristine, disturbing result.

The flavors are; Scorched caramel, Bitter brandied cherry and Curious chili.
