CosmoGIRL is dead, making the teen magazine the latest victim of the internet. Hearst Magazines is closing CosmoGirl, the teen title spin off of Cosmopolitan, which was started in 1999. Gracing covers ranged from Ashlee Simpson to the Olsen Twins to Sophia Bush. The December 2008 issue will be the last print edition of CosmoGirl; subscribers will now get Seventeen magazine instead. The CosmoGIRL! website is veering for a more gossip style news site, which articles similar their coverage of High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens being arrested for underage drinking.
