On Friday, tickets for Major League Baseball’s National League Championship Series (NLCS) between the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers went on sale. In the first hour, over 3500 ads appeared on Craigslist with game tickets for sale. The Chicago Cubs haven’t seen a championship in 100 years, so the fact that the Cubs are this close to the World Series has sent fans in a fervor. Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is the only ballpark where homerun balls hit into the stands by the opposing team are tossed back onto the field to show disdain for the other team. Folk legend says a curse was placed on the Chicago Cubs--one that fans hope the Cubs can break this season. Via: chicago.craigslist.org |
