Grazing Cow Canvases

Body Paint Artist Emma Hack Covers Cows in Artwork

Australian body paint artist Emma Hack has temporarily switched from painting people to painting cows. Hack’s cow canvas series was created in order to raise awareness of drought that has been destroying the farming community in South Australia.

In this moving series, a number of different cows have had their sides painted. Some of these eye-catching artworks play off of the scenery surrounding these cows, while others are more surreal. One of these artsy animals has a melting clock painted on its back (like something out of a Salvador Dali painting). A few of these cows have been covered in small black and white birds. One even has angel wings along its side.

Emma Hack’s cow art turns farm animals into moving masterpieces. These field grazing artworks are as attention-grabbing as they are peculiar.
