'Unlocked' is the name of a board game bar and escape room in New Delhi that boasts a whimsically designed interior that's full of optical illusions, bold colors and geometric shapes. Created by architecture studio Renesa, Unlocked's interior space was designed to intentionally and "instantly transport [visitors] to an uncertain realm." By creating pockets of space, the interior is arranged in such a way that makes it seem as though there are stairs to climb and windows to peek through from certain vantage points.
Fans of Monument Valley may recognize elements in the interior space that were inspired by the gaming app, which is centered on optical illusion mazes. One of the other influences that impacted the design of the space includes large-scale sundials.
