'The Best Things about Being Blind' video is an empowering piece of content shedding light on the positive realities of living with blindness.

The clip focuses on Tommy Edison, a man who has been blind since birth. Instead of raising awareness about the perils of living with impaired sight, Edison boldly talks about the advantages he's noticed with regard to his condition. Speaking fondly of situations where he saves money on lighting bills, avoiding gym class and not having to pay bus fare, this is a lighthearted and lesser-heard take on vision impairment.

Though certainly avoiding the stigma surrounding blindness, the clip gives a voice to the blind community in a way that doesn't ask for pity or empathy, making for an emboldening and perhaps more accurate picture of vision impairment.
