I adore sushi and I have an even deeper love for sweets. Mixing the two together may not initially sound appetizing, but I assure you that it’s one of the most clever and fun ways to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Candied sushi is a phenomenon that’s growing as fast as the grin on your face will after you have your first bite. Strategy and ingredients vary from person to person but the overall appealing aesthetics of these divine dishes are always spectacular. 

At first glance you may think you are looking at a plateful of sushi, but a look up close will reveal an assortment of candies bundled and packaged together just as sushi would be.

The most common ingredients used to create candied sushi include puffed rice, licorice, marshmallows, gummy candies, and fruit roll-ups. Do not feel limited by these ingredients, however; there is no right or wrong way to make candied sushi. It’s all about being creative and mixing it up!
