The Vogue Italia March 2012 'Gleaming Mermaid' Shoot is Surreal

Spanish actress and model Astrid Bergès-Frisbey stars in a whimsical shoot for the Vogue Italia March 2012 issue in which the young brunette wears a variety of imaginative, ethereal gowns. The eclectic 'Gleaming Mermaid' shoot features vintage-inspired frocks in bright hues such as pink and yellow, but also in neutral-toned, embellished and understated dresses. The quirky shoot uses a bunch of weird props that add to its surreal element, such as a old birdcage, large pieces of taxidermy, a piano and oil paint portraits.
