In this case, however, it is for a more conceited purpose than simply loving the art form. The art studio backdrop features painted portraits of the star herself.

The Vogue China SS12 cover story was lensed by photography duo Markus Klinko and Indrani. Styled by GK Reid, the New York-based celebrity is outfitted in colorful ensembles that look splattered with paint or stroked with a paintbrush. Perfect for the spring and summer seasons, the designs were pulled from such fashion houses as Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga and Alexander Wang. Chow's signature long locks and fuchsia lipstick perfect the looks.
