Nothing is off limits for the founder of Comme des Garçons (which translates into ‘Like the Boys’). Skirts, berets, scarves and lipstick are no longer exclusive to the female gender—especially in Tokyo.

Rei Kawakubo “originally created the Japanese version of ‘boys in skirts,’ a trend that was once to Axl Rose and “fashionistas” but is now pretty common,” according to Vice Magazine.
