London-born fashion designer, Alexander McQueen, has come up with a leather plain toe four-eye blucher on leather sole with a twist: The shoes appear to be splattered with paint. The Italian-made shoe is being touted as an, “artistic creation," and sells for $795 per pair through Barney’s of New York.
In less affluent circles, such shoes are to be avoided as they indicate a lack of physical coordination or an inability to afford both a pair of work and a pair of dress shoes. As haute couture, however, they should certainly cause a stir.
