Buzzfeed community contributor Summer Anne Burton recently posted a slew of pictures that depict the characters of Mad Men as dogs. Of course, there will be obvious differences in appearance between two species, but each dog in the series does well to resemble some essential quality of the character it corresponds to.
Don Draper's canine equivalent is a doberman -- focused and en pointe. Joan Harris is represented by a German Shepherd -- alert and aware. Some of Burton's choices may seem a little off at first, but give it a few seconds and the similarities reveal themselves.
Roger is shown next to a poodle/terrier mix; the aesthetic of this dog may be a little too fluffy to remind one of the cigarette-inhaling, scotch-guzzling, philandering executive at first; however, one may remember that Roger's father founded Sterling Cooper and as such Roger has a poodle-like pedigree in addition to a terrier-like affection for revelry and irreverence.
