Landmark-Spoofing Street Art

London Police 'Who Cares Wins' Exhibit Pokes Fun at Tourist Spots

Infamous for their street art and graffiti in cities all over the world, the London Police 'Who Cares Wins' exhibit in New York City showcases the duo's slick work.

After moving to Amsterdam in 1998, the London Police began an initiative to liven up the streets of the world's drug capital. Their iconic 'Lads' characters can be seen scribbled onto city walls in London, Paris and New York City. On display at the Opera Gallery NYC, the London Police Who Cares Wins exhibit features recent work from the pair after taking a short hiatus from street art. The Lads characters are seen throughout the exhibit, often parodying iconic landmarks like the Big Ben and the Statue of Liberty.

The imagery has a robust architectural style, with playful cityscapes and a blending of circle and line drawing mastered by the duo over the years.
