Floating Recovery Cities

Harvest City is Designed to Get Haiti Back Up and Running

Harvest City from designers Tangram 3DS and E. Kevin Schopfer is a floating city designed to make living in earthquake-ravaged Haiti more hospitable.

Harvest City would contain floating city sections that are connected to one another via a system of canals. When you consider the fact that Haiti might be covered in rubble for some time, moving everyone to a city offshore doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

Implications - This concept and design will certainly be of interest to anyone will growing fears of the future state of the world. These individuals can take comfort in the fact that there are people out there planning for a disaster!
