Public Art Cheeseburgers

The Diesel "Good Life" Wall

The iconic Diesel Wall that has gained fame in Europe made its way to the U.S. this year, and the winner of the contest has just been revealed.

"The Good Life" is the title of the giant cheeseburger created by Jonathan Sandridge, a contemporary graphic artist.

"I felt that a cheeseburger would be an appropriate subject to work with because of its icon status in American (bigger the better) culture," Sandridge said. "Working with the scale of the wall, the design becomes a glorious, godlike icon in an American city and the Cheeseburger design represents The Good Life."

The 84' by 90' Diesel Wall public art project can be seen on the side of the Diesel US headquarters building in New York City.

To celebrate, Diesel teamed with Pop Burger to give out free cheeseburgers to those who checked out the mural on West 19th Street in Chelsea on August 7.
