Disney/Pixar has bought the very first "Promoted" trending topic with their 'Toy Story 3' Twitter trending topic ad. If you are an avid user of the micro-blogging website, you would have noticed a change in the United States' trending topics in the toolbar on the right hand side.

Along with the usual ten topics, there is an 11th, 'Toy Story 3,' and beside it there is an yellow icon that reads "Promoted." If you scroll over it, the icon reads "Promoted by Disney/Pixar."
